Preheat oven to 325 °F.
Pull the tenderloin from the fridge and leave out at room temperature for 30 minutes. Place a heavy bottom pan over high heat. Season all sides of the tenderloin with salt. Add 2 tbsp vegetable oil to the pan. When pan is hot add the tenderloin, sear each side for 1.5 - 2 minutes or until the meat is golden brown on all sides. Remove from pan when finished and place on a wire rack over a baking tray. Place the tray in the oven and cook until the internal temperature reads 125 °F. Remove from the oven when finished cooking and let rest for 10-15 minutes. Cut into desired portions and serve right away.
