Combination Wall Oven

A combination wall oven is the most versatile cooking option for those who want to customize their oven suite. The lower cavity is a standard wall oven, while the upper cavity option is up to you! Depending on your cooking habits and lifestyle, you can choose from an upper steam oven, speed oven, or microwave.

Steam Oven

Steam cooking is something you won't be able to live without once you experience it! It's versatile and healthy: you can steam crisp vegetables and tender fish, bake crusty fluffy breads, and even roast tender meats with a golden brown crust. Steam cooking retains nutrients and moisture so your food always comes out fresh and flavorful- even reheating leftovers is enjoyable.

Speed Oven

What is a speed oven? A speed oven is both a microwave and convection oven, so it's a 2 in 1 appliance that offers the best of both worlds. You get the convenience of microwave settings for quick reheats and cooking, but also the power and performance of a convection oven when you need it.

2. Choosing the right size wall oven

Pro Tip: Bosch ovens fit most existing cutouts for easy replacement.

If you're simply replacing an old wall oven, you'll be more restricted with the size you choose. However, if you're remodeling your kitchen and starting from a blank slate, you have the luxury to select which wall oven size is best for your needs. The most common wall oven sizes are 24”, 27”, and 30” but be sure to measure your cutout to ensure you purchase an oven that fits.

How to measure your wall oven and ensure it fits your cutout:

You can always download the product spec sheet to confirm the product dimensions and cutout requirements for every wall oven.

First, measure height and width of your cutout and make sure it meets the requirements listed on the product spec sheet. Secondly, confirm the wall oven you are purchasing can fit in the cutout dimensions.

3. A variety of cooking modes

Your wall oven should be more than just an oven. It's a multi-purpose tool that can bake, roast, broil and more. An important criteria for many is the versatility in cooking modes available in your new wall oven, and some of the modes Bosch wall ovens have are listed below (available modes vary by model). Our Benchmark Series models have up to 14 special cooking modes, which gives you the ultimate range of cooking options.

Versatile Cooking Modes

Modes vary by model

Bosch wall oven baking cookies

Bake

Bake is cooking with dry, heated air. Both the upper and lower elements cycle to maintain the oven temperature. The Bake mode can be used to prepare a variety of food items, from pastries to casseroles.

Bosch wall oven roasting a chicken

Roast

Roast uses both the upper and lower elements to maintain the oven temperature. Roasting uses more intense heat from the upper element than the lower element. This results in more browning of the exterior while the inside remains especially moist. Roast is best suited for large cuts of meat and poultry.

Bosch wall oven cooking a pizza

Pizza

In the Pizza mode, heat from the upper and lower elements is circulated throughout the oven by the convection fan. Use the Pizza mode for fresh or frozen pizza.

Bosch wall oven with dough proof baking

Dough Proof

In Proof, the appliance uses the upper and lower elements to maintain a low temperature to proof bread or other yeast doughs.

Bosch wall oven broiling chicken and steak

Broil

Broil uses intense heat radiated from the upper element. The Broil mode is best suited for cooking thin, tender cuts of meat (1“ or less), poultry and fish. It can also be used to brown breads and casseroles. Always broil with the door closed.

self cleaning wall oven feature

Self-Cleaning Cycle

With all the cooking you'll do in a Bosch oven, clean-up should be your last worry. Our ovens have a 2,3 or 4 hour self-clean cycle, for the ultimate convenience.

Bosch convection baking cookies

Convection Bake

Convection Bake is similar to Bake. Heat comes from the upper and lower heating elements. The main difference in convection baking is that the heat is circulated throughout the appliance by the convection fan.

Bosch oven control panel with fast preheat

Fast Preheat Mode

Fast Preheat heats the oven quicker than standard preheat. It is available for Bake, Convection Multi Rack, Convection Bake, Convection Roast, Roast and Pizza. Roast is found in the “More Modes” menu.

4. What is a Convection Oven?

Convection technology simply means there are 2 heating elements and a fan that turns on to evenly circulate the heat around the oven cavity. This not only results in consistently even results, but your food cooks faster too! Convection bake mode cooks about 25% faster (versus standard bake mode). This technology is widely available in wall ovens, but it's important to double check that the wall oven you purchase has Convection since it will make a big difference in everyday cooking for you!

What is Genuine European Convection?

Our 800 Series and Benchmark Series Bosch wall ovens come with Genuine European Convection, which is slightly different from regular convection.

Genuine European Convection has a third heating element (regular convection only has two) and a back fan, for perfect results every time. The heat is evenly circulated throughout the oven and there is no more need to rotate your pans halfway through cooking - a true luxury so you don't have to constantly monitor your food. You can bake three trays of cookies - one tray on each rack -and expect every cookie to come out perfectly even and golden. To use this feature, simply select the "Convection Multi-Rack" button on the control panel.

Features that are invented for your life.

Consider the little details for your new wall oven, as they will make a big difference in your daily cooking. Once you upgrade to a Bosch oven, you won't ever want to go back!

Meat probe

Integrated Temperature Probe

Takes the guesswork out of cooking meats. The probe monitors the internal temperature of meats and automatically turns off the oven when the desired doneness is reached, so your meat cooks perfectly every time.

Bosch side opening oven

SideOpening doors

It's the surprisingly simple details that make a difference in your kitchen. Our SideOpening oven doors make it more comfortable to access your oven cavity since you no longer need to bend over.

Quiet close doors

QuietClose® doors

Dampened hinges softly and quietly guide the QuietClose door shut, for a more peaceful kitchen. No more oven doors slamming shut!

Wall oven with racks pulled out

Telescopic Racks

The telescopic rack glides smoothly and supports heavy dishes and casserole pans with ease, making it effortless to pull out the racks.

Skip the preheat!

For days you need to prep meals more quickly, use the Fast Preheat mode (select models) so you spend less time waiting for your oven to reach its desired temperature.

No preheat time is needed for Frozen Foods mode and Convection Roast mode for the ultimate convenience!

5. A roomy interior - capacity matters.

7. Select your color

While stainless steel is traditional and classic, and fits any kitchen design, black stainless steel is gaining popularity.

Bosch black stainless steel is a special material, not just a black foil coating. It helps guard against scratches and fingerprints to maintain its bold look over time.
