The new 500 series dryer from Bosch has no heating element. Instead, a heat pump dryer works by passing hot air over the laundry to collect moisture in the air, then passes it through an evaporator to condense the excess moisture and separate it into a water tank. The heat pump then recycles and reheats that same warm, and now dry, air and passes it back over the laundry in a continuous, closed-loop system that effectively and efficiently dries the items. The new Bosch 500 Series heat pump dryer also offers consumers North America’s only self-cleaning condenser* through this same system. The water collected in the water tank from wet clothes during the drying process is also recycled to clean the condenser multiple times during each cycle before it is discarded into the drain standpipe. This eliminates the need to clean it manually and creates a truly self-cleaning system. A clean condenser ensures consistent dry times and energy efficiency, load after load.

The stacking kit features a pullout tray that adds extra space for folding laundry and then neatly tucks away when not in use. The stacking kit is required when using a stacked configuration and is sold separately.
