Rated 2 out of 5 by from Gas top cooking is great but this top has flawsI have owned this stove for 2 years. I love a gas top and this is a nice stove top but has 2 major flaws. The center burner is great to heat large pots quickly but very difficult to simmer. It is either too low or too high - the dual burner is inconsistent and lots of variability at the same knob setting because the top burner may be on/off and difficult to regulate. We have burned many a stew because of this. The second flaw is the parts of the stainless steel finish gets burned permanently. Warranty is great and replaced the dual stack and the stainless steel stove top but same issues leading me to believe these are design flaws. Within days the finish in one spot was permanently discouloured and damaged again and no difference with the dual stack operation. Bosch dishwashers are great but disappointed with this stove top.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't boil water on this cooktop!I've been living with this since I redid my kitchen a year ago. This is the worst cooking experience I've ever had. I've been cooking for 50 years now--always with American-made, less expensive, less chic brands. Thought this would be better. But to my great surprise, there is too much space between the bottom of the pot and the height of the flame. So anything which requires high heat -like boiling water- is impossible. To bring water to boil, I have to first put the water in an enclosed kettle, and then after it reaches the boiling point, I have to pour it into the pot in which I want to cook (for example) the pasta. Even then, I can only keep the water at a rolling boil by having a lid on the pot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It!I have had this cooktop for about 4 months as a replacement for an electric cooktop. Love it! Cooking on this gas cooktop makes me feel like a gourmet cooker. It is a bit tedious on the clean up but worth it because of the look it gives to the kitchen. To the reviewer that complained about the discoloration on the stovetop after the first cooking. You do have to ensure that the burner caps are in place. If the burner caps are not set properly, you will notice an uneven flame this will cause a brown or burnt looking discoloration on the stainless steel to the side. Turn off the burner and wait till it cools to reset the burner cap (you know it is in place if when you try to move it from side to side you can not) . If you do get discoloration use the bar keeper friends to remove (not permanent like another reviewer said, as long as you clean in a timely manner).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EXCELLENT!!!It is a beauty to look at. But that's only the beginning. The flame levels of the burners let you cook at precise levels no matter which burner you use and the largest burner has two flame setting which are great. I love it!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I should of had one a long time ago. Love it.Gas is the only way to cook and this cook top is up there with the best. I like to have the heat right when I turn it on and same with off. It just a much better way to cook.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love cooking on gas againBought this Benchmark cooktop when we remodeled our kitchen 6 months ago. We had a Bosch oven before we moved and missed cooking on gas. This cooktop doesn't disappoint. We love the space between the burners, the quick response with gas, and easy cleanup- although cleaning an electric smooth top was easier, but not worth the difference in cooking. Only thing I was disappointed in was that the knobs don't remove for cleaning.
